Scores of international tour operators visit Girona province to learn more about its tourist attractions

Twelve familiarisation trips were organised during October to enable international travel agents and tour operators to learn about the destination and its tourism products and services. A total of 116 representatives from tour operators, agencies and companies from Germany, southern France, Ireland, Scandinavia, Belgium, Denmark, Austria, Finland, Spain, the Netherlands, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Taiwan, Brazil, the United States, China, Korea and Hungary visited golf courses, wineries, restaurants and hotels, with the trips including active tourism and gastronomy activities. Many entities and private companies operating in Girona province's tourism sector directly supported and participated in the familiarisation trips.
