The 2014 Objectives and Action Plan of the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board was presented to 120 professionals of the public and private tourism sector on 5th December. The 4.8-million euro budget approved by the Board of Directors of the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board to implement the 2014 OAP is the most ambitious in recent years in terms of the number of actions.

The presentation set out the priority and secondary markets in which promotional, commercial and communication actions will be carried out. The creation of three new product marketing clubs (culture and identity, enogastronomy and premium) was announced, joining the five existing clubs that together boast over 400 members. The latest initiatives in the field of new technologies were also presented, starting with the launch of the new official Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees website, the creation of a specific portal for the destination's Music Festivals, and Web 2.0 actions with bloggers and YouTubers, along with the continuation of the Instagram your city campaign. As regards internal actions, the creation of the Tourist Board's online and distance training academy was announced, as well as a new series of presentations in the area to showcase the work carried out by the organisation. Visits to tourism companies in the destination will also continue and increase.
