108,859 people have been assisted at the Airport Tourism Office

There has been a 10.83% increase in the number of people assisted at the Girona – Costa Brava Airport Tourism Office between March and June in respect of the previous year. 108,859 people have been assisted in the first half of 2009.

MARCH 2014

The Girona – Costa Brava Airport Tourism Office, jointly run by the Patronat de Turisme Costa Brava and the Catalan Government, has been operating provisionally since March from a modular stand located in the airport’s arrivals terminal. It should be pointed out that the office maintains its usual opening hours: 7 days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The new office location has made it possible to enlarge the visitor area and improve the visibility of the office from several points of the terminal.

Trend in the number of people assisted at the Office

In January 2009 the number of people visiting the tourism office with inquiries decreased slightly in respect of the same period in 2008 as a consequence of the decrease in the number of users of scheduled flights operating from Girona – Costa Brava Airport. Likewise, the figures recorded for February 2009 were similar to those of February 2008. From March to June 2009 the number of people assisted at the Office has increased by 10.83% in respect of the previous year. In the first half of 2009 the Girona – Costa Brava Airport Tourism Office has assisted 108,859 people. The greatest number of inquiries has been made by visitors from other parts of Spain, from Italy and from Great Britain (despite a decrease in respect of 2008), along with those from Eastern European and Latin American countries. In 2008, the Girona – Costa Brava Airport Tourism Office assisted 227,564 people.
