Two promotional, marketing and communication initiatives in Madrid and Rome bring together 300 people with the goal of increasing the number of visitors from Spain and Italy to the Costa Brava and Pirineu de Girona destinations. Buy Catalunya, which targets intermediary channels operating in international markets, highlights the interest of tour operators in specific products such as golf, culture and food and wine tourism in the destinations of the Girona area. Other highlights in June include the unveiling of the Wine Route Product Club and a series of local sporting events, attracting elite sports professionals and amateurs alike. Last of all, Web 2.0 promotional initiatives have been stepped up in June, while the presence of the Costa Brava and Pirineu de Girona brands and products on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram has grown.
