The highlights of September include the launch of the official Costa Brava and Pirineu de Girona blog, BITTS Costa Brava, the presentation of a training course for tourism sector professionals in new technologies, an initiative to boost cruise ship tourism in Roses Port, the promotion of the tourism offer of the counties of Girona through actions targeted at the French, German and Italian markets, and a series of meetings held between bodies, organisations and companies in the Girona area to work on the contents of the 2011-2015 strategic tourism plan of the counties of Girona. Meanwhile, the celebrations of the Centenary of the Costa Brava reached their conclusion, completing a two-year programme of promotional initiatives and actions aimed at showcasing the Costa Brava brand and its attractions in Catalonia, the rest of Spain and abroad.

The 7th Technical Conference, entitled “Web 2.0 and social networks, keys to today’s tourism business”, organised by the Patronat de Turisme, is scheduled for 28th October 2010.
Roses Port joins the initiative for promoting tourism in Costa Brava ports that receive cruise ship traffic by signing an institutional agreement and approving a programme of actions for 2010.

Almost six hundred people gather to pay a final tribute to the Costa Brava as the two-year schedule of celebrations aimed at highlighting the values of the area and the Costa Brava tourism brand comes to an end.
