The Board increased its promotional activity abroad in February with a number of concrete commercial and communication activities in Germany as well as by participating in some of the world’s most important tourism trade fairs. The Girona Pyrenees’s snow campaign continued on the airwaves throughout the month and the destination hosted the 190 best sellers from the Natalie Tours tour operator, in addition to a press visit by twelve journalists and a fam trip by fourteen tour operators. February events held in the province included the general assemblies of the marketing clubs for tourism products, the presentation of the study on the economic impact of business tourism in the province of Girona and the 2015 Cactus Awards, which named the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board’s “Instagram your City” initiative the ‘Best Marketing Campaign 2014’.
