The Patronat de Turisme has focused its activity in July and August on publicising via social media the large number of festive, cultural, sporting and social events taking place throughout the counties of Girona, of great interest from a tourism perspective. Work has been carried out on the organisation of the TBEX EU Costa Brava event, scheduled for mid-September, and on planning promotional and commercial initiatives for the final third of the year, such as the Pirineu de Girona workshop, participation in the Mercat de Mercats (Market of Markets) Fair, the organisation of press and familiarisation trips for emerging markets such as China, or participation in the IGTM golf fair in the Algarve (Portugal). Meanwhile, the results of articles and features published and broadcast as a result of the press trips carried out in recent months are being collected and analysed, and the report on the digital census of Girona's tourism sector has been presented.
