The Tourist Board increased its promotional activity abroad by participating in some of the world’s most important tourism trade fairs: tourism- and cruise-related sales events in Abu Dhabi and the United States, respectively, were paired with a media campaign designed specifically to target the low-season French market. A number of fam and press trips were also organised to introduce journalists, tour operators and bloggers to the destination’s range of tourist attractions.
