The Patronat will be carrying out promotional activities in nineteen national and international tourism fairs in 2010, starting at FITUR in Madrid.

The Patronat de Turisme Costa Brava Girona will participate actively in fourteen national and international tourism fairs in 2010, promoting and marketing the tourism products and services of the Costa Brava and Pirineu de Girona destinations. 

This year the Patronat is reducing its presence and participation in tourism fairs to focus on promoting direct actions aimed at the professional sector, including both national operators and specialised international operators. Contact will be made with specialised operators on a personalised basis in order to gain thorough knowledge of their schedules for the Girona destinations and the way in which they are produced. The goal is to become directly associated with the professional sector in terms of presence in its brochures, enabling our businesspeople to be in closer contact with the sector and promoting our brand with the full tourism offer.

Seven of the fourteen fairs are international and will focus in particular on the European market. Tourism issuing markets such as France, Germany, the UK and the Benelux countries are the primary targets for promotions, along with any markets that have scheduled flights to Girona Costa Brava airport. The Patronat will also be present at seven tourism fairs for the local markets, i.e. Catalonia and the rest of Spain. 

Specifically, the Patronat de Turisme will be attending seven national and international tourism fairs in January and February where it will promote the destination and products including gastronomy, golf, culture and active tourism among professionals and end customers.

From 19^th to 21^st February, NAVARTUR in Pamplona, Spain

From 20^th to 24^th February, FORUM GASTRONOMICO in Santiago de Compostela, Spain
