The 2011-2012 training programme of the Patronat de Turisme, aimed at fostering the continuous training of tourism sector professionals, comes to a close with two workshops in May:

3rd May. Nine techniques for bringing traffic to the website of a rural establishment (Banyoles). Montse Peñarroya, CEO of Quadrant Alfa, research and training in digital marketing. This workshop was mainly attended by managers of rural tourism accommodation, adventure and active tourism companies, and restaurant businesses.

22nd May. Basics of web analytics, installation and basic configuration (Girona). Marco Sapiña, online marketing expert at Atrapalo.com. Over the course of a five-hour session, the 41 participants discovered how to install this tool in their respective websites, along with how to identify the most important data delivered by the tool and understand what it means. Furthermore, they learned how to filter profiles in order to analyse their visit channels quickly and thus have at their disposal a straightforward methodology for analysing their website traffic. The workshop participants represented various sectors: hotels, rural tourism, apartments, adventure companies, design companies and tourism technicians.

The Patronat de Turisme is working on the 2012-2013 training programme and schedule, in which it plans to include the following topics: creation of products and management of online channels, among others.
