Training course: setting up a website using WordPress

A new practical workshop explains how to use the WordPress content management system flexibly and simply to set up a website.

On 17th March, at the Science and Technology Park of the University of Girona, the Patronat de Turisme is holding a workshop entitled "Setting up a website using WordPress", targeted at professionals from the tourism sector, public administration bodies and Catalan companies.

This workshop, led by Montse Peñarroya, Director of GEA Internet Project Consulting and an expert in tourism and Web 2.0, explains how to use the WordPress content management system flexibly and straightforwardly to set up a website. WordPress is a state-of-the-art semantic personal publishing platform with a focus on aesthetics, web standards, and usability. It is also free and can be updated constantly.

The deadline for registration is 12th March 2011 (limited places). The workshop starts at 10 a.m and ends at 2 p.m. Workshop registration fee: € 50 (includes coffee break) Registration for the workshop is through the www.costabrava.org/taller website.
