The nautical offer of the Costa Brava is present at the Girona Sport Fair

The Costa Brava Nautical Tourism Club took part in the first Girona Sports Fair from 5th to 7th June with a broad range of products and services.

MARCH 2014

The Costa Brava Nautical Tourism Marketing Club of the Patronat de Turisme Costa Brava Girona has taken part in the sports fair with a 15 m2 modular space where visitors could receive information and advice on the nautical tourism offer of the Costa Brava.

The Costa Brava space, in partnership with the Evasión active tourism magazine, offered visitors the novelty of having their photograph taken seated inside a kayak with the Costa Brava coastline in the background.

The Nautical Tourism Club currently boasts 58 members including scuba diving companies, cruise boat and kayaking companies, sports ports and nautical clubs from the Costa Brava, amongst others.

The wide range of nautical tourism activities available on the Costa Brava makes it possible to design customised holidays or short breaks according to visitors’ interests and the sport in question. The 220 km Girona coastline offers nautical sports enthusiasts a mild climate and ideal facilities, equipment and services for carrying out activities such as scuba diving, sailing, sea kayaking, water skiing, snorkelling, windsurfing, flysurfing and boat chartering, amongst others. Beyond the sun and sand, and the wide range of nautical activities on offer, the area stretching from Portbou to Blanes offers visitors endless possibilities to relax and enjoy themselves, sampling the local culture and gastronomy in an exciting and welcoming environment.
The Sports Fair brings together the entire offer of sport-related companies, organisations and institutions, as well as complementary and leisure activities. For three days the Girona Trade Fair Centre stimulated the interest of professionals, industrialists, businesspeople and sport users (in particular children) in seeking out novelties while informing them of useful products and services for each sport.

According to figures provided by the fair organisers, the first professional sports trade fair in Catalonia received 10,000 visitors on its debut. The Patronat de Turisme Costa Brava Girona is working to promote the sports and active tourism offer in the counties of Girona.
