280 travel bloggers from 17 countries register for the TBEX Europe Costa Brava 2012 world conference

280 travel bloggers, writers and creators of new content in social media from all over the world will be participating in the TBEX Europe Costa Brava 2012 conference, scheduled to take place on 21st and 22nd September in the city of Girona and on the Costa Brava.
The Patronat de Turisme Costa Brava Girona, with the collaboration of the Catalan Tourism Agency and Girona City Council, and in conjunction with BlogWorld & New Media Expo (a US company entrusted with the organisation), is promoting the first travel blogger world conference to be held in Spain.
The TBEX (Travel Blog Exchange) conference is the most popular annual gathering held for bloggers, writers and creators of new content on travel and lifestyle themes in social media. Currently boasting 6,000 members, the goals of the organisation are to mobilise and help tourism promotion bloggers, to enhance and improve their work and influence, and to help professionals from the tourism and public relations sectors make contact with the creators of content geared towards benefiting their brands and destinations.
Coinciding with the global event to be held in Girona, the Patronat de Turisme is scheduling a series of activities aimed at participating bloggers with the goal of enabling them to discover and publicise the Costa Brava and Pirineu de Girona destination. Day trips are being organised on the day before and after the conference, along with six theme-based blogtrips in the area, aimed at giving participants new experiences on which to produce content in the social media in which they operate. Places for participating in these activities are limited and those interested must register in advance. The eight county councils of the Girona province, together with the private tourism sector as a whole, have collaborated with the Patronat de Turisme or been directly involved in devising the schedules of these day trips and blogtrips.
