Support for destinations and initiatives

Cultural, food and wine, and sporting events in the spring strengthen and increase interest in the destination

The Costa Brava Girona Tourism Board supports public and private nature tourism, cultural, culinary, and sporting initiatives in the province of Girona that contribute to strengthening and increasing interest in the Costa Brava and Pirineu de Girona brands. These initiatives included Marina Day, which celebrated 13 of Catalonia’s marinas on 13 June with over seventy activities and services for the public; collaboration in the 17th edition of the Windsurfing World Championship GP Catalonia-Costa Brava 2015, which was held at Càmping La Ballena Alegre in Sant Pere Pescador from 9 to 14 June and ended with the victory of the Italian windsurfer Matteo Iachino; the presentation of Estartit’s second jazz festival and the documentary “Snacks, bites of a revolution”, about a generation of chefs who have revolutionised cuisine.
