Aragon, Navarra and the Basque Country witness increased Girona tourism promotions

From the 10-12 June, the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board organised tourism presentations of the Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees in Bilbao, Pamplona and Zaragoza for 70 travel agents from Navarra and Zaragoza and 50 Basque, Navarra and Aragon media professionals. During the three days, three tourism presentations of the Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees were held along with two workshops, business meetings and exchange meetings between new Girona tourism companies and sixty travel agents from Navarra and Aragon. The roadshow continued to raise awareness of the services and products of our area among the Navarra and Aragon travel agents, while winning over the public of northern regions of the country and promoting the high-speed train corridor that connects Zaragoza, Girona and Figueres. In Bilbao, a special treat was exclusively served up to journalists of the Vizcaya province: the Girona chef, Albert Sastregener from the Michelin star restaurant Bò·Tic at Corçà and member of the collective "Cuina de l’Empordanet– Aula Gastronòmica de l’Empordà" was joined by chef Fernando Canales of the Basque restaurant Etxanobe, also holder of a Michelin star, and they prepared a meal together for the attendees. The travel agents and media in Pamplona and Zaragoza were not left out as the Palamós Fish Space (Espai del Peix) plied them with appetizers.  The dishes used Girona-sourced products and were accompanied by wines of the DO Empordà Wine Route.
