Snow and active tourism fairs

The Pirineu de Girona promotes the new features of the 2011-2012 season at the Naturiva, Trek&Walk and Skimountain fairs

From 11^th to 13^th November the Patronat de Turisme Costa Brava Girona simultaneously took part in two fairs specialising in sports and nature activities, NATURIVA Esquí y Montaña in Madrid and Trek&Walk in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, especially related to snow and skiing.

At both fairs the Patronat de Turisme provided visitors and tourism professionals with information on the general offer of tourism products and services in Girona's five ski resorts for the 2011-2012 season, as well as on natural areas of interest, cultural routes, greenways, hiking routes, cycle touring, mountain biking and inland gastronomy.

Girona participated in Naturiva as part of the Pirineus de Catalunya brand, together with various organisations and companies from the Girona area: Vall de Núria, La Molina and Masella, Solineu Hotels. It participated in the Trek&Walk fair with its own stand to promote the Costa Brava and Pirineu de Girona brands. Also present at the stand were the county council of El Baix Empordà and Itinerànnia, a network of trails in El Ripollès, La Garrotxa and Alt Empordà, composed of thousands of kilometres of well signposted historical paths.

Last of all, the Girona area participated in the Skimountain fair in Valencia, held from 25^th to 27^th November, as part of the Pirineus de Catalunya brand, composed of the Patronat de Turisme Costa Brava Girona, the Tourism Board of Lleida Provincial Council, Barcelona Provincial Council, the Val d'Aran Tourism Board and the Catalan Tourism Agency.
