Roadshow in the United Kingdom

Over one hundred and thirty British travel agents take part in a series of presentations and workshops.

Taking advantage of the "Breakfast with stars of the Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees” event at the end of April, the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board carried out four more promotion and marketing campaigns in the British market, aimed specifically at travel agents and tour operators in the country. On the afternoon of Monday, 28 April at the Mandarin Hotel, a presentation and workshop on the Costa Brava and Pirineu de Girona were held, attended by twelve representatives of companies in Girona and forty British tour operators and travel agents. This workshop was the first of a series of three presentations that took place in London, Newcastle (30 April) and Edinburgh (1 May). The events in Newcastle and Edinburgh were attended by forty and thirty travel agents respectively. Also, on the morning of Tuesday, 29 April, a presentation entitled Costa Brava and Pirineu de Girona Cycling and Hiking was held at the National Geographic Store in London, with a workshop involving eight organisations and companies from Girona and eight British agents specialising in the sector. The format of the event was simple: as well as highlighting the attractions of the destination, it was designed to allow entrepreneurs from both countries to share information and make contacts for possible business in the future. Through these activities aimed at marketing channels, the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board hopes to stimulate interest in the Costa Brava and Pirineu de Girona in the British market.   Guifre de Peray
