Participation in a luxury tourism trade show, presentation to British and Spanish travel agents, trip by German blogger and December’s promotional initiatives.


DECEMBER 2015

rayburn-tours 30 November to 3 December saw quality tourism services for the Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees promoted at the ILTM professional luxury tourism show in Cannes, France, via the Costa Brava and Girona Tourist Board and Costa Brava Luxury Hotels. Regional representatives travelling to the show participated in a total of 46 interviews, mostly with representatives from European agencies as well as the United States and Canada. Two presentations were also given to travel agents in order to inform them of the tourism services available in the Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees region. On 16 December, the English city of Derby was the venue for a presentation on the Costa Brava given to 50 travel agents, held at the headquarters of travel operator Rayburn Tours, which specialises in organising school trips with an emphasis on sport and culture. On the same day, a presentation was also given to Spanish and South American travel agents promoting the Girona Pyrenees via Hosteltur’s digital platform Webinar. Last but not least, culture and travel blogger Nicole Biarnes visited the old town of Tossa de Mar on the Costa Brava in order to experience the cultural activities on offer to tourists during the low season.
