Promotional events in the United Kingdom

Promotion of the Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees in the British cities of London and Bath.

In accordance with the comarketing agreement between the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board and Jet 2, on 8^th August the Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees destinations were presented to 40 independent travel agents in the Metropolitan London area at a networking meeting. The purpose of the event was to highlight the frequent flights between the two English cities and the Girona-Costa Brava Airport as well as the wide range of tourist offers available on the Costa Brava, specially family-oriented tourism. This event included the participation of organisations and companies from the province such as Lloret Tourism, Hotel Carlemany, Guitart Hotels and Rosa Mar Hotels. On 9^th August, experts from the Tourist Board presented the range of cycle touring activities available in the Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees at the head office of Global Cycling Network in the city of Bath. Global Cycling Network is one of the online members of the worldwide influential media group Play Sports Network Group, dedicated to producing specialist cycling contents. During the presentation of the destination, members of the media company were enthusiastic about making a trip to the Costa Brava and the Girona Pyrenees and writing articles about the destination.
