Promotional events for influencers: journalists and bloggers

Ten journalists and six bloggers from state, European and Asian media outlets visit the Costa Brava

Sixteen bloggers and journalists visited the province of Girona with the aim of promoting different aspects of the Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees destination at a national and international level. Five press trips to Girona were organised in May for two Japanese journalists from Perfect Boat Magazine; a journalist from the Austrian newspaper Tiroler Tageszeitung; a Belgian freelance journalist specialised in golf; an editor from the Spanish edition of Condé Nast Traveler magazine; and five journalists from a number of British media outlets, invited by Jet2.com to mark the company’s launch at the Girona airport. The journalists were interested in discovering the region’s active and cultural tourism, including Girona’s annual Temps de Flors, as well as experiencing the Costa Brava’s world-famous food and wine. Spanish blogger Tània Tautero (“Mariposas en el armario”) enjoyed a three-day visit to Platja d'Aro, Roses and Girona to discover the region’s health and beauty tourism as well as the Mediterranean culture and cuisine. To position the destination on the French market, four French travel bloggers and collaborators on the “Mon Nuage” website were able to experience a range of activities with the participation of several Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees municipalities and private companies.
