Promotional activities at trade fairs

End consumers discover everything the Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees has to offer at a series of fun events

The Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board participated in the Altonale Strassenfest trade fair in Hamburg, Germany, for the first time this year, sharing a space with Casal Català and the Catalan Tourist Board’s new tourism brand Costa Barcelona from 3 to 5 July. The fair focused on the end consumer and was part of the cultural activities organised in this district of Hamburg from 1 to 17 July. Visitors to the Tourist Board’s promotional space were interested in information on the region’s trails, beaches along the Catalan coast and medieval towns. Destinations in Catalonia, the Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees were also promoted at the 50th Heineken Jazzaldia music festival from 22 to 26 July, which brought a taste of the region to the Basque Country with a range of traditional Pyrenees and DO Empordà food products. Girona’s coastal towns and beaches, local cuisine, rural accommodation and campsites along with hiking and mountain biking were the main attractions that piqued the interest of Basque tourists and other festival-goers. A tourist information booth run by the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board also promoted active and nature tourism together with sports competitions in the province of Girona at the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc event in France.
