Promotional actions

Twenty-four promotional actions aimed at travel agents, specialised tourism press outlets and end customers constituted the main activities of the Patronat de Turisme in September.

The Patronat increased its promotional activity in September by scheduling and carrying out twenty-four promotional actions aimed at disseminating and marketing the tourism offer of the Costa Brava and Pirineu de Girona brands in the Spanish and international issuing markets of the destinations.


Seventeen familiarisation and press trips focusing on a wide range of themes have brought 65 journalists and 13 travel agents to the counties of Girona. The visits focused on several themes, including culture, e.g. the Indianos (locals who returned to the area having made their fortune in the Americas) or the Dalí triangle (a visit including three towns), gastronomy (restaurants offering the Centenary Menu), or the Centenary of the Costa Brava itself. Most participants came from Europe (France, Benelux countries, UK, Russia and Switzerland) although there were also visits from Chinese and Japanese media outlets.

Two tourism fairs aimed at end customers have taken place in September, along with two workshops (a general one and a specific golf one) that brought Girona tourism companies together with Polish and British tour operators respectively.
