Promotion in specialised sectors

Actions to promote the destination to specialist segments included attending the Salón de Plongée in Paris and a MICE workshop in London.


MARCH 2014

From 10 to 12 January, the Costa Brava Diving Centres and Ports Association was in Paris to participate in the Salón de Plongée, a French trade fair for diving and water sports. Visitors to the stand received information on the opportunities for nature and active tourism in the Costa Brava and Pirineu de Girona destinations, as well as the range of water sports available there.

Later in the month, on 27 January, the Costa Brava Girona Convention Bureau was an active participant in a MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Congress and Events) workshop held in London for forty event organising agencies and travel managers. At this event for professionals on both the demand and supply side of the MICE segment, the Tourism Board met with representatives of 11 agencies.
