Murcia and Valencia show an interest in the Pirineu de Girona 2013-2014 season

The tourism offering of the Pirineu de Girona for the 2013-2014 autumn and winter season was presented by the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board (of Girona Provincial Council) and by 15 inland and mountain tourism organisations and companies on 23rd and 24th October in Murcia and Valencia, respectively.

110 travel agents and 50 journalists from the province of Murcia and the Valencian Community attended the two promotional events.

The first took place on Wednesday 23rd October in Murcia, with a presentation for the local media and the main travel agencies that offer snow, activity and nature trips in the Girona Pyrenees.

On the following day, a workshop and gastronomic meal took place in Valencia, prepared by the Michelin-starred restaurant Ca l’Enric of La Vall de Bianya, during which a presentation was made of the Pirineus de Catalunya 2013-2014 season. The Valencia event was organised by the Catalan Tourism Agency, the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board and the Tourist Board of the Lleida Provincial Council.

Both events were attended by Miquel Calm, Vice President of Girona Provincial Council and of the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board, and by Ramon Ramos, Director of the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board. Mr Calm expressed his satisfaction with the Tourist Board’s inaugural visit to Murcia, stating, “We have seen that the Pirineu de Girona is an obvious and reliable destination for travellers seeking out new snow and inland tourism options as an alternative to Sierra Nevada.”

At the end of the month, on 29th October, a workshop devoted to the Pirineus de Catalunya brand took place in Madrid, attended by 60 travel agents of the Community of Madrid.
