The Patronat de Turisme began operating the Costa Brava and Pirineu de Girona blog on 20th September 2010 with the goal of keeping up with the new trends and needs of the tourism market and increasing the brand's online presence. To date, more than 17,000 visits have been registered with an average of 2.3 pages per visit. To make it easier to identify the blog, the www.bitts.costabrava.org address has been changed to www.blog.costabrava.org and since May users have been redirected automatically to the new address.
More than 50 posts have appeared on the blog to date, written by different bloggers with a variety of profiles, specialised in tourism, marketing, communication, journalism, public relations, territorial planning, networks and social communication, music and performing arts, oenology and golf, offering a direct, clear and modern vision of what is happening in the area. Recently featured topics include the blogtrip #InCostaBrava, while oenology, activities and culture have been discussed in posts such as “The Costa Brava of Miserachs” and “An array of music festivals”, among others.
