MICE Workshops in Russia
Russian tour operators express an interest in the business tourism products of the Costa Brava.

Two specific workshops on meetings, incentive trips and conferences were held in Russia on 18th and 19th March. The workshops, organised by the international companies Moscow International MICE Forum and The World of Dolce Vita, were attended for the first time by the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board, together with the Girona Convention Bureau and the Lloret Convention Bureau.
In the workshop held by Moscow International MICE Forum, the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board and the Lloret Convention Bureau held 25 meetings with Russian wholesale travel agencies. The agencies were interested in coastal business tourism destinations and also requested information on holiday products. The agencies demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of the destination and wished to discover more about the various services and day trips offered to customers.
The professional meetings organised by The World of Dolce Vita, a company dedicated to the luxury end of the business tourism market, led to interest from a Russian company in the medical tourism product on the Costa Brava. During these meetings, contact was also made with a wholesale travel agency interested in operating in Girona - Costa Brava airport. The agencies that met with the representatives of the Girona tourism sector were looking for new incentive products such as the DO Empordà Wine Route and requested information on the destination's 4 and 5-star hotel offering.
