Seven campsites in Girona are named among the best in Europe

Seven Girona campsites (Medes in l’Estartit, Cypsela Resort in Pals, Mas Sant Josep in Santa Cristina d’Aro, La Ballena Alegre, L’Àmfora and Les Dunes in Sant Pere Pescador and Defin Verde in Torroella de Montgrí) have been distinguished with the Best Camping 2015 award given by the Netherland’s ANWB and Germany’s ADAC car clubs at the VakantieJaarbeurs trade fair in Utrecht. Cala Llevadó in Tossa de Mar also received the first-place award in the Innovation category, awarded by the prestigious British guide Alan Roger, for its new environmentally-friendly cabins. With these awards Girona campsites confirm their status a benchmark for high-quality tourist destinations with the best facilities and complementary services in the south-western Mediterranean. Fifteen campsites in Catalonia also picked up the award; the rest of Spain received three award for campsites in Alicante.
