The Costa Brava and Pirineu de Girona tourism brands were present at Fitur, the International Tourism Trade Show in Madrid held from 28 January to 1 February, where Catalonia featured a new promotional space.
The towns of Lloret de Mar and Blanes, Girona’s Consorci de les Vies Verdes (Greenways Consortium), and the Tourist Board presented the destination’s tourist attractions as a whole to the trade show attendees, as well as developments in tourism products and services in the province for the 2015 season. These new developments include the Any de la Natura (Year of Nature) event, the second annual Vívid Wine Festival, and the Gerunda Fuga product line of signature massages.
The trade fair also gave Girona representatives the chance to meet with representatives from major online travel operators, such as Global Destinia ODIGEO and Jet2Holidays.
