Fitur 2013

The Girona Convention Bureau and the DO Empordà Wine Route are promoted in Madrid.

MARCH 2014

From 30th January to 3rd February, several tourism bodies and companies from the Girona area, including the Patronat de Turisme Costa Brava Girona, took part in Fitur 2013 with two spaces integrated within the Catalonia stand in order to promote and disseminate the overall tourism offering of the Costa Brava and the Pirineu de Girona, and to present new products and tourism services in the area for the 2013 season. Taking part with the Patronat de Turisme were the Greenways Consortium of the counties of Girona, the tourism towns of Blanes, Lloret de Mar, Vall d’en Bas and Puigcerdà, the County Council of La Cerdanya and Turisme Garrotxa.

At Fitur it was announced that the Patronat has integrated the Girona Convention Bureau within its structure, placing most of the area's MICE offering under the same umbrella, and information was provided on the launch of a new wine tourism product structured through the DO Empordà Wine Route, among others. And, for those already familiar with the Girona area, there were specific tourism products such as gastronomic campaigns, the Empuriabrava Wind Tunnel, the Itinerànnia network of paths, artisan fairs and markets, and festivals declared events of national interest.

Several directors, salespeople and professionals from local tourism companies travelled to participate in the fair with a diary of contacts that they had worked on and defined in advance.

The Patronat de Turisme focused its efforts over the three days of the professional fair on undertaking new projects and establishing collaborative partnerships and alliances.
