The Vívid Wine Festival generates nearly half a million euros in economic impact for the Costa Brava

The economic impact study of the Costa Brava’s wine festival successfully closes its third year with an economic impact of €481,089 and a 27% increase in visitors compared to last year. A total of 7,305 people have enjoyed the range of outstanding activities that focused on the Alt Empordà and Baix Empordà’s wine tourism and historical heritage, including food fairs, guided tours, pairings, tourism packages, workshops, open days and wine marketing. Visitors spent an average of €24.70 and most (49%) were from Catalonia, 34% were from the province of Girona and 17% were from outside the region. A total of 68% of Vívid’s participants were accompanied by family and/or friends, while 23% came with their significant other. The average age of participants was 45 and 44% participated in the event motivated by an interest in the world of wine.
