Cultural promotion

The second edition of Som Cultura will offer more than sixty genuine cultural experiences in some forty municipalities in Girona province during November.


NOVEMBER 2017

Som Cultura is the main dissemination and promotion campaign of the Costa Brava-Girona Tourist Board's Culture and Identity Club. Its aim is to merge and boost the links between the far-reaching cultural offer in the territory and the tourist activity of the Costa Brava and the Girona Pyrenees destination among the local public throughout November. The second edition of the festival will be held from 4 to 26 November this year and includes more than sixty programmed activities, which are all genuine, original experiences with offers and discounts designed to increase the range of options offered to visitors. At this year's edition, the cultural experiences have been structured into four areas —Som Cultura - Family, Som Cultura - Popular, Som Cultura - Active and Som Cultura - Heritage— with the aim of putting on a varied programme, targeted at a diverse public and grouped by themes. Among the most outstanding proposals there is an electric bicycle route so that families can get to know the heritage of the Baix Empordà; a night-time crossing through the Pyrenees, to try and understand the drama of refugees; a marathon of Girona Museum workshops and visits to the main monumental sites in the Girona province.
