Girona cruise ports and marinas are promoted at the international Seatrade Med fair and the Monaco Yacht Show.
The Costa Brava Cruise Ports brand promoted the Costa Brava and the ports of Roses and Palamós at the Seatrade Med fair and congress, which took place this year in Lisbon on 19 and 20 September, and held numerous meetings with cruise companies. On 19 September representatives of Costa Brava Cruise Ports gave a talk entitled “Small ports, a large tourist destination” to professionals of cruise companies worldwide. Costa Brava Cruise Ports also provided support to the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) in organising the CLIA’s Port & Destination Summit 2018, at which over 200 professionals from the cruise industry worldwide took part. The Costa Brava Yacht Ports brand subsequently presented for the first time at the Monaco Yacht Show, which took place from 26 to 28 September, and shared a promotional space with Varadero 2000. This event saw the presentation of both the new brand and of the ports of Roses, L’Estartit, Palamós and Sant Feliu de Guíxols, which are large enough to accommodate super yachts. Contacts were also established at the fair with captains of luxury vessels with a view to informing them about the ideal conditions that the Costa Brava has to offer.
