The Port of Roses starts its 2018 cruise ship season activities.

On 7th May the Port of Roses kicked off the new cruise ship season with the arrival of Saga Pearl II. This year, the Port of Roses expects to welcome 9,500 passengers and 13 stopovers, which amounts to four and three times more respectively than last year’s figures. In Roses, this year, cruise ship activity will last six months (from May to October). The number of luxury liners that will visit the port accounts for 60 % of the total, a percentage that confirms the arrival of well-heeled tourists attracted by the Costa Brava’s unique character and scenery, cultural visits and entertainment and who purchase high-quality products. The 7th May also marked the opening date for the new tourist information unit, where an employee from Roses Town Hall Tourism Department provides cruise ship passengers with information about the town and the surrounding area In addition, this month, the Costa Brava Yacht Ports brand was showcased at the Barcelona Yachting Networking Meeting and representatives from Costa Brava Cruise Ports attended the MedCruise general meeting, held in Valletta (Malta).
