Costa Brava, film set

El Café de la Marina is a new television production set in the natural landscape of Girona’s coastline.


APRIL 2014

Filming will take place in April of El Café de la Marina, a TV film co-produced by Televisió de Catalunya, directed by Sílvia Munt and based on the play by Josep Maria de Sagarra, published by Edicions 62. The film will be shot over three weeks at locations including Palamós’ Castell beach, Vila-rodona, and Cerdanyola del Vallès, with the support of Palamós Town Council, the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board, the Government of Catalonia’s Ministry for the Environment and the Catalan Film Commission. It is a joint production by Oberon Cinematogràfica, Televisió de Catalunya and RTVE, with the support of the Catalan Institute for Cultural Companies (ICEC), and its stars include Marina Salas, Pablo Derqui, Miquel Gelabert, Marina Comas, Rosa Vila, Pep Cruz and Oriol Vila, with a special guest performance by Fermí Reixach.
