Costa Brava, film set

Tossa de Mar and the Costa Brava are among the chosen locations for the film What about love

MARCH 2014

What about love, a film directed by Klaus Menzel, starring Marielle Jaffe and Miguel Ángel Muñoz, and also featuring Sharon Stone, Andy García and José Coronado, has been shot on the Costa Brava and in towns including Tossa de Mar over the last fortnight of September.

This romantic drama about a young couple is being produced by Castel Film, Accident Film and Gondola Films, and takes place in several European countries, such as Romania and Catalonia, as well as in the USA.

The town centres of Tossa de Mar and Lloret de Mar are just two of the locations where the production is being shot. These scenes have featured José Coronado, Miguel Ángel Muñoz and Marielle Jaffe, while Sharon Stone and Andy Garcia have already shot their scenes in the USA.

Earlier on this summer, in June, l'Escala and other places on the Costa Brava were chosen as shooting locations for the new production directed by Roger Gual, entitled Tasting Menu, produced by Zentropa International Spain (set up by the Danish director Lars Von Trier) and the Irish production company Subotica Entertainment.

The Patronat de Turisme has collaborated in the production of What about love in terms of locations, handling and contracting services (accommodation, transport) and processing filming permits.

The film enjoys the support of the Patronat de Turisme Costa Brava Girona, which is keen to promote the Costa Brava through cinema.
