Costa Brava Cruise Ports

Participation in the Medcruise General Assembly and cruise symposium on the current state of the cruise market in the Mediterranean.

Assemblea Med Cruise(2) Costa Brava Cruise Ports, formed by Government of Catalonia’s ports, the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board, the Girona Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Navigation, the Palamós Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Navigation, and the city councils of Roses and Palamós, attended the Medcruise (The Association of Mediterranean Cruise Ports) General Assembly held in the Croatian town of Zadar, which brought together the members of the organisation from 3 to 6 June. The programme included the general meeting, a roundtable focused on the relationship between cruise lines and ports with shopping destinations and also a workshop during which Costa Brava Cruise Ports met with MSC, Princess Cruises, Royal Caribbean and Carnival. Subsequently, the Costa Brava Cruise Ports and the Generalitat’s cruise ports organised a symposium on 15 June focused on the role of small ports in the Mediterranean cruise market. The symposium was attended by representatives from 80 Catalans politicians, event organisers, port authorities and tourism entrepreneurs.
