Coastal footpaths. Crossing the Costa Brava is presented in Girona

The publication proposes travelling the 250 km from Blanes to Argelès-sur-Mer along the coastal footpaths of the Costa Brava and along the GR-92 long-distance path.

MARCH 2014

The Ulyssus bookshop was the chosen venue for presenting the guidebook Coastal footpaths: Crossing the Costa Brava in the city of Girona, following the presentation made in April in Barcelona. The event was attended by Enric Vilert, President of Girona Provincial Council and of the Patronat de Turisme, Xavier Ventayol, Director for Girona and Central Catalonia of the Sorea water company, and Jordi Puig and Sergi Lara, authors of the photographs and texts, respectively, accompanied by Jordi Sargatal, naturalist.

The guide also aims to highlight the discovery of one of the most important tourism brands in the world as a top destination for hiking while enjoying some of the Mediterranean’s best scenery. The idea of a 250 kilometre trail along the coastline is simply a vehicle for showcasing an area that offers an extraordinary variety of scenery and ecosystems.

The publication has been promoted by the Patronat de Turisme Costa Brava Girona and Triangle Postals S.A., with the collaboration of the Agbar and Sorea Foundation. It is available in five languages: Catalan, Spanish, English, French and German.
