Over 5,000 images posted for the Facebook, Twitter and Instagram photography competition

From 20th November to 20th December, the Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts of the Costa Brava and the Girona Pyrenees offered users the chance to take part in a dynamic competition that consisted of posting photographs of the province of Girona with the hashtag #maromuntanya. The goal of this initiative was to foster the creation of new content by users on social networks associated with the #incostabrava and #inpyrenees hashtags, and to attract new followers.

The competition proved very popular among users and those taking part shared over 5,000 photographs of the destination online. The tourism sector was heavily involved in the initiative, providing 115 prizes (stays, activities, meals, guided tours, etc.) grouped into 53 packages.



Once the winning photographs were chosen, they were shared on the various social networks and the prizes were announced, mentioning the companies that provided them.
