CBGCB initiatives

Roadshow in the UK, participation in the IMEX in Frankfurt and commercial visits to Barcelona and Montpelier

The Costa Brava Girona Convention Bureau (CBGCB) carried out three promotional and marketing initiatives in the British, German and Catalan markets in May.

First of all, it took part in the MICE roadshow organised by the Catalunya Convention Bureau in London and Leeds from 8th to 10th May. In the meetings held during the roadshow, the managers of approximately 20 travel agencies specialised in MICE tourism expressed an interest in the products offered by the Costa Brava and Pirineu de Girona in this sector.

Later on in the month, from 13th to 17th May, the Costa Brava Girona Convention Bureau carried out a programme of commercial visits through the company Humman Marketing. Meetings were held with 30 conference and event organisers, travel agencies, pharmaceutical companies and industrial companies in the metropolitan Barcelona area with the goal of presenting the MICE tourism offering of the Girona area as a whole. A programme of commercial visits was organised in Toulouse from 28th to 30th May with 18 travel agencies specialised in MICE tourism.

Finally, from 21st to 23rd May, the Costa Brava Girona Convention Bureau participated in the IMEX (The Worldwide Exhibition for Incentive, Travel, Meetings and Events) in Frankfurt (Germany) under the Catalunya Convention Bureau umbrella brand, together with the Girona Conference Centre, as part of the Turespaña stand. Over the course of the three exhibition days, meetings were held with potential international customers interested in the MICE market.
