 The American travel blogger Gary Arndt earns an honourable mention in the 2012 Muster Photo Competition held by the SATW (Society of American Travel Writers), with a photograph of Vall de Núria

The photograph was taken in July 2011 during the blogtrip that Arndt made to the Girona area, invited by the Patronat de Turisme Costa Brava Girona, the tourism promotion body of Girona Provincial Council. This landscape photography series devoted to Vall de Núria contains 17 other photos.

The annual Muster Photo Competition of the SATW bestows awards according to different categories and themes. The categories include natural landscape, cultural landscape, people, action, wildlife etc. Gary Arndt is one of the world's most important travel influencers with 109,567 Twitter followers and a monthly readership of more than 100,000 of his blog Everything-Everywhere. This online space serves as a guide to his experiences as a traveller all over the world, a non-stop journey that he began five years ago and that has led him through many countries, including this one and the Girona area in particular.

This honourable mention by the Society of American Travel Writers for the work presented by Gary Arndt, his début entry in the competition, has added to the list of accolades obtained in several media outlets by destinations from the Girona area in 2012 (National Geographic Traveler, Editorial Frommers, Today’s Golfer, etc.).
