22,000 visitors at the Tourism and Gastronomy Fair in Madrid

The Patronat de Turisme organised a series of cultural, promotional and gastronomic events aimed at capturing Greater Madrid residents’ interest in the Girona area.

MARCH 2014

The Patronat de Turisme carried out a promotional campaign of the Centenary of the Costa Brava in Madrid as part of the Catalan Cultural Week held from 20th to 26th April by the Catalan Government, concluding with the Costa Brava and Pirineu de Girona Tourism and Gastronomy Fair at Madrid’s Plaza Jacinto Benavente from 24th to 26th April. Some 20 organisations from the Girona tourism sector took part in the fair, along with several gastronomic collectives from the area. The fair was attended by more than 22,000 visitors in three days.

On this occasion, the fair format was in line with the image devised by the Patronat with its own stands, as used in the Navartur fair in Pamplona, the Sevatur fair in San Sebastian, the SITC in Barcelona and the Luxury Market in Peralada.
