DECEMBER 2016

Over 100 tourism professionals from the Girona region attended the Tourism Board’s presentation of the 2017 Action Plan and Objectives (APO). The presentation underscored the fact that the Action Plan was developed together with Girona’s entire tourism sector, which agreed to declare 2017 the “Year of the Bicycle and Sustainability in the Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees”. The event provided the Tourist Board the opportunity to review its major activities and achievements in 2016 as well as those of the sector as a whole. Activities scheduled for 2017 were also presented, including: the Sea Otter Bike Show Europe Costa Brava and the Costa Brava Bike Days workshops; roadshows in the UK, Germany and Scandinavian countries; participation as a “guest destination” at Germany’s leading tourism trade fair, Reise Camping; new editions of the Vívid, Ennatura’t and Som Cultura campaigns; and the creation of a new sport tourism marketing club. The Tourist Board also announced that the main tourist source markets that it will focus on in 2017 are France, Germany, and the UK. Pla_dAccions_2017_01
