Girona tourism festival celebrates its 10th edition.

Celebrating its 10th edition, the G! Tourism Awards for the province of Girona organised by the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board brought together over 300 industry professionals, including government agents, award winners and representatives of the Girona tourism sector, in an official ceremony held at Mas Marroch in Vilblareix on 10 December. Award winners: “The 10th Josep Pujol i Aulí G! Award for professionalism” was presented to Josep Colomer i Trias of the hotel sector. “The 10th Xiquet Sabater G! Award for a business venture” was presented to Girona Campsite Association. “The 4th Special Jordi Comas i Matamala G! Award” was posthumously awarded to Raimon Martínez Fraile. “The 1st Special Juli Soler i Lobo G! Award” was presented to Jaume Subirós and the Mercader family of Empordà de Figueres Motel. “The 10th G! Communications Award for the province of Girona in the category of Written Media”, was presented to Spanish journalist Arantxa Neyra for her report Cataluña. Cadaqués: Más que una casa bonita, published in IN Magazine, and for her article on Catalonia in Condé Nast Traveler. “The 10th G! Communications Award for the province of Girona in the category of Audiovisual Media”, was presented to Óscar Checa for his four-part series on RNE Radio 5 show Escapadas. “The 5th G! Communications Award for the province of Girona in the category of Digital Media” was presented to Italian vlogger Emiliano Bechi Grabrielli for digital video In Pyrenees. The door to Costa Brava. “The 6th Yvette Barbaza G! Research Award” for the best research project was presented to Neus Monllor Rico for the project entitled El pasturisme: un producte turístic nou per a les comarques gironines. The 10th edition of the G! Awards was supported by Vilablareix Council and la Caixa, and paid homage to the cinema.
